Adam was such a trooper on the ride to and from and in the park. He just looked out his window and wanted to see everything.
This is Firehole Cascade. It was so pretty, the pictures I'm afraid, don't do the park justice.
Adam wanted to get down and walk around everywhere. We let him a couple times if we weren't too nervous about him falling in.
Adam and I at one of the geyser basins. I couldn't believe that steam is literally coming up everywhere!
Matt and Adam. Man he got so heavy to hold...These next three are at buscuit basin, or something like that.
This one was Sapphire pool, one of my favorites. I thought that the water looked so clean and crisp that I wanted to drink it.
Some of the pools we couldn't even see the bottom!
We ate lunch in the parking lot at Old Faithful while we were waiting for it to go off. Adam was hanging out in the shade of the trunk eating his lunch.
Old Faithful, I'm glad I was able to see it. It's awesome that it's usually always on time. But I think that some of the others were more neat. No offense Old Faithful.
This overlooked the Yellowstone Lake. It was right above it and this spring and a couple others right next to it ran into the lake, I'll bet it's not as cold as some other mountain lakes up there.
I had no idea that there was a Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. It was an amazing sight to behold!
This was at the mud pots. It was called the dragon's mouth, and it really looked and sounded like a dragon was in there hissing and snorting.
This is the Black Dragon's Cauldron, it was bubbling constantly looking like mud boiling in a cauldron.
This is Orange Spring, it just grew up over the years. It doesn't work like it used to. I think this was up by Mammoth springs, which we drove all the way up there and then found out it's all dried up since the last earthquake. We were a little miffed that none of the park rangers or visitors center people never mentioned that little bit of information.
I just loved this picture. This is at Mammoth, it was one of the little ones that works still.
At Mammoth again.
Norris Geyser basin. I guess this doesn't look like it use to either. There used to be a lot more water all around the boardwalks. But it was a fun place to see still, the water was very pretty with the oranges and greens in it.
On our way home on Sunday, we drove up into Montana a little bit and stopped by Quake Lake. It was an area that used to be camp grounds and there were two resorts and a house. There was an earthquake tha registered 7.5 on the richter scale and within a couple hours everything was submerged. Apparently many people that were camping lost their lives since it happened in the middle of the night, they didn't know that water was coming. All the trees are in the water and there's a landslide on one end that blocked off the canyon. It's beautiful up there, but it's an eerie sight and especially quiet.
This is the land that slide down one side and up the other, creating a total blockage of the canyon. It filled within about 6 hours and over 200 feet deep!
This trip was so much fun! I had to contain myself when posting the pictures, I wanted to post all of them! I know there's a lot, so thanks for reading my whole blog (if you actually did).

I can't believe that you have never been to Yellowstone before now! Isn't it awesome! Eventhough I have gone before, I have never seen Old Faithful go... we always got there a couple of minutes late.
I am so glad that you got to do this with your sweet little family. The pictures are great, especially of that sweet grandson of mine.
I love that Adam is looking at the camera and smiling in almost all of them! He's such a cutie :) Looks like a fun trip!
WOW, your photos ROCK!!! So beautiful! Adam is just the sweetest little guy... If you ever are in the Rexburg area, you just drop him off whenever you want and go out for a date... we'd be more than happy to watch your sugar bebe for you!!!
First of all nice pictures! Brandon and I went to West Yellowstone on our honeymoon a gajillion years ago. It was December and so we got to snowmobile through the park. It sounds cooler than it was. It was actually a death drive through a blizzard that we were all to happy to get through alive!
Wow, I can't believe that this was your first time to Yellowstone. It looks like you went to all of the good spots. The Grand Canyone of Yellowstone is my favorite! I'm glad you had fun on your trip.
