Camping trip

We recently went camping, and to our pleasant suprise Adam loved it. We went when he was 6 weeks old and he was perfect, but we were worried now that he moves around a lot and likes to be more independent that he would struggle. He did so good that we want to go again sometime! He slept great in his own sleeping bag next to our heads and snored almost as loud as his grandpa!

Adam desprately wanted to help put up the tent, so he showed us how.

Adam had to sit very close to me on the boat, I think all the loud noise made him uneasy. (disclaimer: Adam's top buckle on his life jacket was done up the whole time. We undid it just to keep out of his mouth during the picture.)


It was also Matt's birthday a week or so ago and I made him something this year. He had all these old ties from his mission that were too raggy or perhaps ugly to actually wear, so a couple years back he gave them to me and said I could do something with them. Well, I made him a necktie quilt. All the blocks are from his ties and then just regular fabric surrounding them. It was a ton of fun and something I would love to do again!
