Easter!

Easter was a lot of fun this year, as it always has been in the past. I think Easter is one of my favorite holidays, and I think it's probably because I have the best memories of when my family went to Moab each year for the Easter Jeep Safari. The last 2-3 years the fam has dwindled in numbers down there since we've all been in school and we've had younguns and not very much money. Hopefully someday we can all get back down there all together again. Ours started off on Friday when we dyed eggs at Matt's parents. Adam did pretty good, he would practically throw the egg in the dye and then wanted it out immediately again to move on to the next egg. He has no patience at all. In this picture he didn't want to listen that we needed to leave the egg in for just a minute.

Then on Saturday we headed out to my parents and we had lunch and an easter egg hunt for all the grandkids. I was pleased that Adam got the hang of it quickly, and that he didn't realize that the candy was inside until after the hunt was over and I showed him.

Here's all my parents grandkids, I think each of them quite enjoyed the hunt!

Then Sunday morning we hid Adam's basket and when he woke up he was able to find it. I think he remembered the egg hunt the day before because he was pretty excited to find his basket.

Matt's parents had an easter egg hunt for us too at their house, it was freezing cold outside so we did it in the basement. Adam stopped after one egg because he was trying to eat the candy. With a little encouragement he came away with a good haul though.

We switch off Sunday dinners each week with our fams and Easter Sunday landed on Matt's family's turn so we had Easter dinner at his Grandma's house like they do each year and she had an easter egg hunt for us too. So I can just say that if any one is lacking in Easter candy, we can share some of our hoard with you and it probably wouldn't make hardly a dent in it!! Adam really enjoyed this holiday and as parents so did we, I got really excited about filling the eggs with candy for his basket and hiding it and then watching him find all the loot during all the egg hunts. So thanks to both of our parents for helping make Easter so much fun!

Wow he's getting big! He looks so grown up with his haircut. That's so funny that he didn't want to listen, what kid does? Glad to hear that you guys had a fun Easter!

What a fun Easter. I love the picture of him coloring eggs! It's funny once they realize there is candy in the eggs.

Unfortunately they never outgrow the "I'm not listening" look. It just mutates! (Excited for baby Emma!)

Haha! I love Adam's impatient face. He's so cute, even when he's mad :)
