Breakfast

On Saturdays Matt and I like to make good breakfasts, like either sausage or bacon with waffles or pancakes and eggs, we both love it. It's probably because we both grew up with Dad's that liked to cook breakfast on Saturdays.(I love my dad's sourdough pancakes, they are the best!) So this particular Saturday morning we cooked bacon (yum) and then Matt really likes my German pancakes, so I made those. The pancakes bake in the oven, and I've never had a problem with them before. But this morning, I took them out and I was excited about them and I cut a piece out for Matt and was waiting for him to come over with his plate to get it, but he was doing something and I was impatient, so I just took the spatula with the pancake on it over to him and as I walk away from the oven I hear this horrible sound. It sounded like every dish had fallen out of our shelves. So we turn around and the pyrex dish had just exploded everywhere! It was all down in the burners in the oven, on the floor of the kitchen and even in the next room. Needless to say I was quite upset about my only glass 9x13 dish breaking, but I'm grateful that just a second before it happened I moved away. I also was sad that I didn't get hardly any German pancakes.

If you're wondering if my stove is puke yellow, it is. It's to help match my ugly pink bathroom. I used to have an ugly puke yellow fridge to match my stove but my lucky sister now has it.

Wow I can't believe it exploded!!! That's crazy, and I'm glad you didn't get hurt. Also, my dad also was a master of cooking breakfast...funny how that works, huh? I miss my dad's breakfasts, I should start making my own like you two.

We did that with Chicken Tortilla cass. once and we were so sad that we didn't get to eat it. I haven't got a new 9x9 pan since. I knew I smelled something funny yesterday!

Holy Pyrex, Batman! You had angels pushing you away that morning. That could have been ugly. You could pull off bald, but bald and cut up? I don't know. ;)

But really, I'm glad you're all okay!
