Emma's 1st Birthday

I can't believe my baby is one!! This first year went by faster than Adam's first year I think! It has been so fun to see the difference between my two kids and their personalities, and they are quite different! Today we had a little party at our house with grandmas and grandpas and her two bachelor uncles. It all started out with a birthday song in the morning.



This girl is so happy in the mornings, especially when sung to.



This is her Daddy's favorite hair style, so we do pigtails quite often.

A cake that is supposed to be a butterfly. Dear Emma, I will try harder next year to make a cake that doesn't look like a 2nd grader frosted it.

My cooking passed the test of my 1 year old, she likes it.





She ate the rest of her cake that way. No hands digging, only plate up to face, in true oinker fashion. She may not seem very big, but she is my little piglet.



Emma is usually so happy, unless of course she feels that she has been wronged in which she will windmill whatever or whoever is closest (I need to work on that with her...) or cry the saddest cry I think I've ever heard. Full on uncontrollable, inconsolable sob. But she loves this little guy more than anything!



I constantly find her on his bed and them playing together on it.



I think this is one of my new favorite pictures. They couldn't stop giggling at each other.
