I kind of gave up on blogging for a little bit and here's why. We were about to make a big change and I was going to wait until after and blog about it and then it didn't happen. I was a little depressed about it. Kidding. But no, really. We started looking to buy a home back in August, we found one in our range that was awesome size-wise and area-wise. It needed a little help inside, like the deepest cleaning you've ever thought about doing, and moving a bunch of junk out of it. There was only a few repairs here and there but the house was awesome. We went inside tons of homes and this one house felt really good to us, so we went through the process and we were going to close on Dec. 1st. About a week and a half before closing we got the inspection done and it all went down hill. There was mold and water damage. Thousands and thousands of dollars worth of damage. Needless to say it broke my heart since we had already picked out paint and bought all our appliances, and a couch set. (We only had 2 and 1/2 weeks from our offer acceptance to closing, so we wouldn't have done all that normally until after the inspection) We haven't been able to find another house that is even worth looking at since. So I haven't really been up to doing much, since I was wallowing like a pig in my self-pity. But I'm over it now. So this is what we've been up to lately that I haven't posted about.

So way back at Halloween time, we carved the pumpkins that my mom let Adam pick out for him and Emma. He loved it, he did really good letting me help him.

Emma was the skunk that I made for Adam two years previous.

Adam was a cowboy, and he loved it. He called his hat his 'Woody Hat'. He loves Toy Story. The vest and the boots were Matt's when he was a little boy, so it was fun that Adam can wear them too.

I've found Adam in Emma's bed a couple time, surprisingly he never hurt Emma while getting in. After taking a picture I kindly but sternly lectured him on why he can't be in there. He hasn't since.

One day without any warning, Emma decided she wants to roll. She rolled front to back and back to front. We actually just happened to catch her on camera the first time she rolled.

Notice he doesn't let go of his teddy bear, which he calls 'Rahr', in either picture. Even to hold Emma. He LOVES that bear.

This is part of our bedtime routine. They go to bed at the same time and so we read lots of books and play a little bit. Adam always has to kiss Emma goodnight. Adam will want to hold Em and then he says cheese, wanting us to take his picture.

We made ginger-bread houses with Matt's fam. Adam got his very own house. He knew exactly what to do. Put a little bit of candy on the house, and a LOT in his tummy.

Eating the yummy frosting.

The finished product. He did a ton of it himself once he caught on to how it works.

These two kids make my heart happy.

Sorry about the house Jess! I had no idea! What a bummer. It is good though that the inspection turned up all those problems. It would have been an expensive mess for you guys. Emma is getting so big! I just can't believe it. Adam too! You just have the cutest little kiddos. I bet you have tons of fun with them everyday. Emma makes one cute little skunk.
