Matt and I splurged and bought a new camera. It's really fun to play with and we've taken more pictures this last week than our whole marriage. We took our kids to the park and took Adam's 2 year picture and Emma's 1 month picture, and I'm pleased with how they turned out. Unfortunately we don't own a photoshop program so there are touch ups I'd like to do before I print them, like the grass showing through on Em's picture.

We also went boating yesterday and it turned out great. It was the first time I've gone since last year and I'm pretty sore today to say the least. Adam had a blast, I was surprised at how well he did.

Me and the big guy. He loves going for boat rides, he always talks about boats.

Matt doin' his thang

Picture taken by yours truly. It's one of my favorites, but I think it was beginners luck or something.

Me trying to be as awesome as Matt and his little brothers.

Adam really isn't this somber, he just won't ever smile for the camera.

So I was goofing around and tried to grab my board, and I look like a fruit. But I had to post it because I grabbed or I should say touched my board momentarily. It was very brief, but it still counts.

I can't handle having my feet or hands below me in the water. I know there are no man-eating fish in Willard Bay, but I think it goes back to when my brothers made me watch all the JAWS movies right before we went to Lake Powell and not telling me that sharks aren't fresh water fish. (I was 7, I didn't know better) So now at age 25 I still am afraid of the unknown beneath me. And to add to that, I just watched Shark Week on the Discovery channel...

Adam and Lily having a blast on the beach.

Adam did awesome on the tube for the first time. I thought he would cry the whole time, but he giggled a little and finally Matt had to be done because he was tired. When we got Adam on the boat, he just kept saying 'more, more', he would have stayed on there all day.

Emma hung out all day on the beach. Her grandpa Fred watched her the two times I went out on the water.

Wow! Your new camera takes great pictures! What kind did you get? I've been wanting to get a new one for a long time. That picture you took of Matt is awesome, and the ones of Adam and Emma are darling too. I also had no idea what a wakeboarding allstar you were Jess!

Yay for boating! I think that's what summer was made for :)

Cute pictures too! I was going to recommend Picasa to you for photo editing. It's not as amazing as photoshop, but it's a free download and does a decent job :)

cute pictures. I love the one of little Emma, she looks cute. I love that these aren't touched up with photoshop, people definitely overuse it!

I love all the pictures! You won't regret your camera purchase...I also found myself taking so many more pictures. You also are able to capture shots you would have missed with a delay, I guess you know that judging by the picture you snagged of Matt. Awesome, and nice moves there Jess!

You should check out Picasa...it is free editing software, it is all I use.
