Missionary and Happy 50th

Geez I'm horrible at getting off my duff to blog. I guess I should say getting off my duff to pick up my camera to sit right back down to blog. Lazy huh? Matt's little brother Steven came home from his mission in Paraguay this last week, it was great seeing him and having Adam meet him. Steve missed Adam being born by just 3 weeks, so it was really fun. Adam warmed right up and gave him a hug and just showed off for Steve and anyone else that would watch him.

Waiting semi-patiently for the missionary. Luckily it was the middle of the day rather than the night like when my brother came home.

My Mom also turned 50 about a week or two ago. We had planned a surprise party for her and then my sister had to go and have her baby, (kidding meg) so we changed plans. But I think it actually turned out better than it would've anyways. Meg and Ben got home from the hospital just in time to come out to my mom and dad's to surprise her. I felt bad we had to tell a couple lies to her to get her out of the house, but I think we made up for it in the end. My brother Luke and his wife Lise were able to make it down from Montana and so that was a huge shocker to my mom when she saw them. It was awesome. I just have to say that I have the greatest mom in the whole world, and am so grateful for her. Even though she's 50, she's still so beautiful and young!!

All the grandkids were awesome, we got them to be absolutely silent as my mom walked in so she had no idea we were there. Fruit snacks are amazing.

I feel bad that I didn't get any pictures of my mom, but my sister Megan got some great ones of her on their blog, so you can check them out there.

It's been really fun to celebrate both of the two wonderful people!!

Jess you are 8 months pregnant so you have an excuse to " sit on your duff" all you want.

I love the sign Adam has around his neck to welcome home Steve. I bet it is so glad to have him home.

Happy 50th to your mom! That's fun that you guys got to surprise her. And no worries, you lied for the greater good, so it doesn't count.

You look beautiful Jess! Simply glowing!

Glad Steve is home safe and sound. That is a great idea to give kids fruit snacks to be quite and sit still. Great pic
