Time for Jam
Since we lived in Wyoming my mom has made freezer jam, raspberry, peach and strawberry. Since that moment that I tasted it's delicious sweetness, I could never go back to store bought jam. I just won't. Each year I tell myself that I'm going to make some for Matt and I since we love both of our mom's jam, but I always wait too long or forget or have some other lame excuse which I always regret a couple weeks later when my stash of my mom's that I take runs out. So...Tada! I did it. I found a great deal at Lee's for raspberries and I made three batches today in just a couple hours! I was especially excited that I did it all by myself, since I don't usually take initiative on things I've never done before. I was surprised at how easy it was and it was enjoyable! So now throughout the winter we get to enjoy this amazing jam! (I'm a bread lover, so jam is big condiment) And this just cost me $21 !!!! I'd do more if I had more room in my freezer! If I run out of jam, Mom I'm coming for yours!!

My husband loves raspberry jam, so I make a bunch too. Too bad that three batches only last about three months!

Oh my, I LOVE LOVE LOVE homemade jam.... yours looks amazing (way to GO, i'm like you.... go hit up the mother in law's stash instead of making my own... I'll have to try making it some time!)

That looks delicious Jess! I think it's so neat that you know how to can and make jam and such. I wish I had such knowledge of how to do useful things like that myself. Maybe someday you could teach me how :)
