Bye Bye Bottles!

I don't have to hand wash, bleach, and air dry any more bottles, rings, nipples, or lids!!! (Until the next baby anyways) I'm really excited and I have to admit I was being selfish about this, I got really tired of hand washing bottles every day. This is how it happened and why I did it so early, Adam use to have a bottle around 10:00 am and 2:00 pm before his naps, but about 4 weeks ago he started not finishing them and playing with it instead. So I decided to not give him anymore bottles during the day. I was very brave and cut both bottles out on the same day just because he seemed to not care at all. So he was only having a bottle at night before he went to bed, and he started to do the same thing with that one too but I didn't want to go through the trouble during school, so I waited until after I was through. So tonight was his third night without any bottle and he doesn't even act any different!! I'm so excited that he is weaned. Yea for him! (and me) I really don't mind trying to offer him lots of drinks through the day, he's pretty good about his sippy cup. The only thing is he doesn't like his formula through his sippy cup, his doc said to just keep trying to offer it to him, but it's okay since he's 10 months old. Like he's in need of nurishment though, the kid weighs 25 pounds and his stomach can't fit into his pants hardly.

And I gotta post this picture for my fam. Adam couldn't wait long enough for me to hop in and out of the shower before his nap. (I put him in this so that I don't find my house a wreck when I get out of the shower) It's hard enough getting a child out of one of these things let alone trying to keep him asleep. Amazingly enough, he stayed asleep.

Happy Mother's Day to you all!

Good job with the weaning! I just weaned Carter to whole milk but my next step is the bottle thing! So how often and what times do you feed him? Carter wakes up at 6:00 and I feed him a bottle, do you just do breakfast when he gets up or wait a while or what! I probably should start feeding him more food at meals and how often do you give snacks. Just curious about what you do so I have so tips when weaning with Carter, I hate washing bottles too!!!
