Trouble!

Adam has suddenly figured out how to get into everything that he isn't supposed to! He's been scooting around for quite a while, but now he accelerates quite quickly. I guess it's going to track practice everyday, he's bound to pick up some tips:) We have a little ledge where our fireplace is, and he's always just slapping it, or just getting his arms over it. There's a space heater up there because it's always cold in our house, and he loves to try to get it but has never really been close. We caught him pull himself up and over the ledge like it was nobody's business. It happened so fast! I thought it was a fluke thing, so we pulled him back down to his toys and off he was again, just up and over. So I moved the heater, and he just turns and heads right for the entertainment center with the gaming stations and all the controllers in the cabinet. (He loves controllers) I need to start really baby proofing my house.

On another note, Adam is teething. It was cake when his first two bottom teeth came in, he was just a little whiny. It was mostly him wanting to be held, and it was over a day later and his two little teeth were through. So of course I thought I knew what moms were talking about when they say teething isn't fun. No, if I had known what was to come, I would have been grateful for that one or two days. His next tooth was the top one next to the middle tooth. (weird I know!) I didn't even know that was in until about two days later when he chomped on my finger and almost bit it off. It was poking through pretty good. Now it looks like his two middle top teeth are coming through. ARRGGGHH! He is not having fun, and neither am I. He's drooling like a great dane and he grinds his two bottom teeth into the two top teeth making this noise that makes my teeth and ears hurt. I've tried teething tablets, which in my opinion don't work very well, and now I've moved onto baby orajel. I really like that, except for the fact that you can only apply it 4 times a day. He doesn't really put things in his mouth, so his teething ring isn't very useful. I hope this doesn't last for more than a couple days! I'm a new mom still, is there something else I can do for him?

He was so tuckered out after a day of teething and crying he fell asleep for the night at 6:15. (Yes, Adam has an old man comb-over.)

It's crazy how Quickly these little buggers get cruisin when they see something they want!!! Poor guy, I hear you, teething is just NO FUN... hope his grow in quickly! I don't have much advice... we froze bottle nipples and when she was screaming and wanting her bottle, that would sort of numb her gums too! Good Luck!

Kaden used to do that thing when he would grind is teeth into the gums with the new teeth. I would cringe just having to hear it-it was aweful! When Kaden got really bad, we would wet a wash cloth with cold water and let him suck and chew on it. I can't remember what else I did-Justin is still toothless!

Good luck! I have no advice to give you because I myself know nothing of teething. All I can do is offer my support :)

Watch out! Adam's on the move! His next phaze will be the baby vacuum stage. You think your floor is clean yet they still can find anything and everything left behind!

As for teething, just know that it doesn't last long, and this too shall pass!

Wow he is really getting around isn't he! That is fun, well maybe not!? I'm sorry about his teeth but I have no suggestions being a new mother and he only has one tooth so far and I used baby orajel so I might be asking you for some advise in the next couple of months!

I feel so bad for Adam's littl teeth! I love the comb over though! Don't ever change it!

How fun to see him growing and experiencing new things. What a world of adventure lies ahead. I know that for you it means you'll have to follow him around more, but for grandma it's just fun to see all of the changes. Great picture of Daddy and son.

I know how you feel. Olivia is much worse than Owen was with teething. She is crying all of the time. She is getting her one year molars. She won't take a teething ring either. So, I have to give her baby tylenol. When she has it, she's a different baby. Happy!
