One fish two fish, red fish, blue fish!

Okay, so I might be kind of quirky, so I'll just lay it all out on the table. I like fish. I beg Matt to take me fishing all the time in the summer. He's such a good sport, and helps me with the worm part because I don't like it, and then off I go! I swear he only casts out twice. I never ever catch anything, but it's fun and relaxing. Matt wants pets, I don't really and we can't where we live anyways, and Matt has always wanted a salt water tank with the really really awesome (and expensive) fish. We figured that we should give freshwater fish a go to see if we can keep a $2 fish alive before we kill a $20 plus fish. So Matt got me a fish tank for christmas and we excitedly set it all up with the fun scenery and the cool looking fish. Well we wake up about a day after we get the fish and low and behold we see little things zooming around...look what we caught out of our fish tank!

BABY FISH!!!

So we got them out and put them in a little breeder tank so that the parent fish don't eat them. Yeah, they actually do, sick. Here's a pic of the whole thing put together.

Matt and I enjoy it, and Adam gets excited when he sees it. He likes to try to catch the fish through the glass, but can't seem to realize that he can't reach them. Thanks for the fun present Hubby!

Looks like the Stringham family just grew!!! That's pretty nasty about the parents eating their babies (but then I realized that sometimes Ava's so cute I just wanna eat her up too... but not literally)

Looks like fun. You will have to keep us updated on the survival rate and new additions to the fam. I bet Adam loves the bright colors, he is so cute!

I love your mini sea world. It looks great, and Adam will love seeing all of the fish. Matt, all in good time you'll get the pet of your dreams. But it's smart to start small and go from there.

That is such a fun present! And the perfect pet! It will be fun to watch the fish grow, and to see what it takes to keep all of the fish alive.

Wow, those fish got busy! Fish are my pet of choice, too. I have NO desire for anything more. Fish fulfill me!
